This privacy notice tells you about the information I collect from you when you sign up to the Readers Group.
Collecting this information means I’m acting as a data controller and, by law, I’m required to provide you with information about me, about why and how I use your data, and about the rights you have over your data.
I’m Robert Crouch and you can contact me at email@example.com if you have any enquiries about my use of your personal data.
When you subscribed to the readers club, I asked you for your first name and email address so I may send you emails containing updates, exclusive information and giveaways. I require your details to send you the emails. You can unsubscribe from my newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each email.
I’ll keep your information for as long as you remain a member of the Readers Group. Your personal information will then be deleted if you wish to be removed from the list.
You can ask me what information I hold about you, and you can ask me to correct it if it is inaccurate. All fields are self-filled when you join the list, so the information I hold is what you gave me.
You can also ask me to stop using your information for a period of time if you believe I am not doing so lawfully. On request, I will delete data.
I aim to respond to all requests within 72 hours (allowing for holidays/travelling, as only I have access to the data).
I will hold your details with your consent until you ask to change or delete them.
The simplest way to do this is email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, you can click ‘unsubscribe’ or ‘manage my subscriptions’ on any email I send you.
I will not spam you nor share your details with any third parties.
You have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner if you’re unhappy with how I’ve used your details. If you have a complaint about our use of your information, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office via their website at www.ico.org.uk/concerns
